Civitella Paganico is located in the Alta Maremma, a region between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto that contains many traces of the traditions and historic migrations of this area.
The landscape of the borough reveals a rich natural heritage that evokes traces of its long history.
The Maremma Tourist Board (Azienda di Promozione Turistica della Maremma) has created a website which lists a number of trips throughout the area and the nearby neighbourhood.
The various towns and villages of Civitella Paganico are all found within the Ombrone river valley.
They have also created brochures on the different areas of the Maremma. Civitella Paganico can be found in the brochure called The thousand facets of the Maremma. Inland hills.
The Sagre or village festivals are real events in all the small towns in Tuscany. The village associations of the Comune work all year round to organize a memorable festival for their own village.
The Sagre provide an excellent opportunity to try local cuisine and products and to discover old local traditions.
